Predicted ride ETA for Singapore car trips at the Microsoft Azure Virtual Hackathon — engineered congestion, distance, and time features, trained a model on Azure ML, and served predictions via a Flask API on Heroku.

Alternative credit scoring for unbanked SEA gamers — using gaming activity, in-app purchases, and in-game behaviour as proxy for creditworthiness. Built a working prototype integrated with Razer Pay and Mambu. Submitted to the Razer Fintech Digital Hackathon 2020. Didn't advance past the first round.

ML-based food reformulation engine — reverse engineers ingredient amounts from nutritional labels using constraint-based optimisation. Built end-to-end in R with an RShiny dashboard. Built for an unnamed client.

Scraped 54,100 donations from the Games Done Quick tracker and analysed donation trends, top games, speedrunner stats, and donor comment sentiment for the record-breaking $3.1M event.

Train-to-hire platform for aspiring data scientists — co-designed 6–8 week apprenticeships with companies so candidates could be assessed on real problems before hiring. 100% hiring rate. Acquired by Tribe (AngelHack) at end of 2022.

Private blockchain + RFID/GPS traceability for Neste's first-mile raw material suppliers — palm oil, fish fat, used cooking oil. Built with Roy Lai. No prize. Roy went on to found InfoCorp Technologies on this idea, raising US$14.3M during the ICO era. I served as Head of BD for a year.
