The official results release for the inaugural Singapore Defense Tech Hackathon, held 25–27 September 2026 and organised by NUSX, the European Defense Tech Hub, and TUM Venture Labs.

NeuroMech — Jackie's team — topped the two-day main challenge, finishing first of 39 teams that built working prototypes in 48 hours. The project is a brain-computer interface for controlling unmanned systems: the operator drives a ground robot by looking at flickering targets on a screen, decoded from EEG.

Across both tracks the event drew over 60 teams and awarded more than S$50,000 in cash prizes; the separate three-month challenge was won by MAELSTROM. The release also announced a six-month incubation programme with the NUS Defence Venture Lab for one to three promising teams.

The full build story is in the NeuroMech write-up. The release was syndicated across several outlets, including TechNode Global and The Manila Times.
