Closing remarks by Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and for Health, at the finale of the Build for Good 2024 accelerator on 30 November 2024.

Build for Good is a citizen hackathon run by Open Government Products (OGP). Five winning teams from the 2024 hackathon — Let's Kaypoh, OhmSweetOhm, EBI, CareCompass, and GymLah — went through an eight-week accelerator from 12 October to 30 November, each with S$20,000 in funding from OGP and support from the Singapore Government Partnerships Office to connect with public agencies.

In his remarks, the minister pointed to solutions built around specific, lived problems — including EBI, the journaling app Jackie's team built for people facing mental health challenges. The Straits Times covered the launches in "Journaling app, platform to connect kaypohs to lonely seniors among Build for Good launches". The team's EBI write-up covers what was built.
