At SuperAI 2026 — 10–11 June at Marina Bay Sands, the anchor event of Singapore AI Week — visitors could make a painting with nothing but their brain activity.
The demo was a collaboration between Justin Baird, founder of Tesseract.art; Jackie, as founder of Mind Interface Company; and Kai Ming Ng, disability advocate and AI policy researcher. A headset measured neural activity associated with attention, concentration, and cognitive engagement, and those signals drove a robotic painting system, so each participant's mental state shaped the artwork.
DigiconAsia covered it as part of a wider question: how brain-computer interfaces can expand creativity, improve accessibility, and open up new ways for people to interact with machines. As Jackie put it in the piece: "Brain-computer interfaces have the potential to create entirely new channels of communication and control."
